This cologne is not a summertime staple but more of a wintertime cologne. It's dense & thick & dark. It's more of a rose-vanilla perfume than it is a spicy citrus bomb (although you could wear this in summer under the right conditions). If you like roses then this is actually a very well-blended and long-lasting cologne which I highly recommend. For a scent called eros I found the original sweet but not really "erotic" / sensual, which didnt make sense with the name. The extra citrus notes and the slight spiciness make flame much more suited to be called something like "eros" imho. The opening is the most different, but while thebdry down is similar, the slight bit of spice remains .Both are good, regular Eros is a bit rough around the edges but it’s maybe more interesting, Flame feels better blended and like an objectively better fragrance but it doesn’t have the oomph that the original Eros has. Eros more better for summer bc it has citrus. I think Eros is more distinct bc it’s a powdery, sweet citrus smell. Although flame is also pretty distinct. Eros EDT is a beast and smells awesome. It’s a compliment king. When I wore it, I’d get 10-12 hours from it, if not more. Projection was beastly too. Go easy on the sprayer with it. Now as far as Eros Flame, I think it smells like a cheap hookers handbag Eros Parfum exchanges the mint for pepper and lavender, giving a different type of freshness seen more in classic fragrances. It has a strong projection like Eros EDT. Eros Flame exchanges the mint for spices and more woods, making it more sensual for an evening or a date. It has a moderate projection like the EDP. Eros Flame and regular Eros smells different. If they release an Eros Flame Parfum then I’d worry about reformulation. I get excellent performance out of Eros Flame. I LOVE the scent but the initial projection was strong as hell. Over the next hour or two it was much better and I love the vanilla dry down notes.
