I recently picked up an Evolution with UTC. The UTC is not working and I need to replace the battery. Does anyone know if an Authorized Breitling dealer can do that or would it need to be sent to Breitling Connecticut? According to the 2004-2005 Breitling Sales Handbook, the definitive answer for the B70 caliber UTC module is number 379 for its battery. Obviously if the model number on the back of your Aerospace's UTC module begins with "E70" it .
This caliber is not to be confused with the newer ana-digi Breitling B70 manufacture movement – talk about creating caliber confusion. Battery Replacement: There is one screw holding the battery cover in place. Carefully remove the screw and the battery cover. The replacement battery is a silver oxide cell number 317 (aka SR516SW).
A maintenance service is recommended every 2 years and includes: checking movement parameters and watch functions, changing all seals, checking water resistance, cleaning the case and metal bracelet; changing the battery for quartz watches. REQUEST THE SERVICE.
